Coho

Coho was a pleasant surprise after an easy 11 hour sail, except for 1/8 mile visibility most of the day.

We arrived at the Coho anchorage around 5 or so PM to sunny skies. Our expectations were low for this anchorage but to our delight it was quite pleasant with a beauty of it's own. Not unlike some of the Baha Coast in Mexico. Anyway, we dropped anchor, had an early dinner and relaxed to a beautiful sunset.

The evening was full of surge, so we rocked and rolled most of the night. As our sleep was interrupted, we made frequent checks to see if we were holding anchor. We were (whew).

Up in the morning and off to Santa Barbara.

Dear Grandma and Grandpa,

I'm glad to hear about how well your little adventure is doing. I'd be lying if I said that we didn't miss you over here in the Bay Area. Things have been going well on our end, and we can't wait until we can celebrate your return. Maybe we can get Debbie, Joey, and Amanda to come over to our house for one big dinner? It would be nice, wouldn't it? Like before? Well, anyway, I'll be sure to talk to my mom about that. School for me...It's been rather troublesome, and I have all C's or higher. No D's or C-'s, thank goodness. Mom would have my head if I did. Alex, however, isn't doing as great...or at least, from my recent observations. But then again, such a thing isn't really my business. Maybe he won't notice my prying? I've gotten together with a few old friends and renewed my friendship with Devin. You remember, don't you? The odd-looking boy that I invited to dinner when Joey and his girlfriend came over? Yeah...I should be spending time with him soon. I can't help but say that I'm rather excited. Evidently he has a new girlfriend...And what with him being the predictable teenage boy that he is, I can only sense trouble down the lane. He'll come running to me I bet soon enough, like he did in the past with his previous love affair. Love..I'm not sure if I can really call it that.
Enough of my rambling. I thought it would be nice to hear from me, since you've been cast away into isolation across the vast ocean. Take plenty of pictures of the sea for me, would you? And Mom hopes to talk to you soon. Kraig says hi, and so does Alex.

We love you both,

Sincerely,

Ashley Bucquoy
(Your Grand-daughter.)
